Terms of service
Last updated October 18, 2026
These terms cover the use of LeagueRoots by youth sports organizations ("community organizations") and by the families who register with them. Using the service means you agree to them.
1. The service
LeagueRoots provides online registration, forms, payments, team management, an online store and a public website for community organizations. Each community organization runs its own programs, sets its own prices and policies, and is responsible for its relationship with its families.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your password private and for what is done with your account. Give accurate information, especially about children, medical needs and emergency contacts, because a community organization relies on it. Community organization administrators are responsible for whom they give access to their community organization's information.
3. Community organizations' responsibilities
- The content of the waivers, consent forms and policies a community organization uses, and whether they meet its legal and insurance requirements.
- The community organization's prices, refund policy and decisions about refunds.
- The community organization's own Stripe account and its agreement with Stripe, including disputes and chargebacks on its payments.
- Using families' information only to run its programs, and in line with the law.
- What it publishes on its website.
4. Fees
Community organizations pay LeagueRoots the fee published on our pricing page, currently $1.50 for each paid registration. For card payments the fee is collected from the payment through Stripe. For registrations paid offline, fees are totalled and invoiced monthly, and are due when invoiced. Our fee is earned when a registration is paid and is not refunded if the community organization later refunds the family. Card processing charges are Stripe's, under the community organization's agreement with Stripe. We will give community organizations at least 30 days' notice of any change to our fees.
5. Families' payments
When a family pays a community organization, they are paying the community organization, not LeagueRoots. Questions about charges, refunds and a community organization's policies should go to the community organization.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use LeagueRoots to break the law, to send spam, to upload anything harmful or that you do not have the right to use, to try to reach information that is not yours, or to interfere with the service or other people's use of it.
7. Information and privacy
How we handle personal information is described in our privacy policy. A community organization's information remains the community organization's, and we use it only to provide the service.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep LeagueRoots available and reliable, but cannot promise it will never be interrupted. We improve the service continually and may change features; we will tell community organizations in advance of any change that removes something they depend on.
9. Ending the service
A community organization can stop using LeagueRoots at any time; fees already earned remain payable. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or leaves invoices unpaid, and will contact the community organization first except where we must act immediately to protect others.
10. Liability
LeagueRoots is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to a community organization is limited to the fees it paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page and tell community organizations about significant changes before they take effect.
