Features

Everything a volunteer-run community organization needs, nothing it does not

Everything on this page is in the product today. Where something is deliberately not built, we say so at the bottom.

Registration and family accounts

A household holds the parents and children together, so details are typed once and reused every season. A child's record belongs to the family rather than to your community organization, so a family that plays two sports in two organizations does not enter it all twice.

  • Parents add children, addresses, emergency contacts and doctors themselves
  • One cart for every child and every program, checked out at once
  • Divisions limited by school grade and gender, so nobody registers in the wrong one
  • Registration windows that open and close on the dates you set
  • Email confirmation and receipts, and an optional notice to your registrar

Programs and pricing

Sports, seasons, programs and divisions, each with its own price schedule. Prices change on a date, so the late fee applies itself and nobody has to remember to edit anything at midnight.

  • Early and late price schedules per program
  • Sibling pricing: second and third children at the amounts you set
  • Every amount kept in whole cents, so totals reconcile at season's end

Waivers and forms

Attach as many forms as a registration needs and scope them to the divisions that need them. A signed form is recorded against the registration with who signed it, when and which version of the wording they saw.

  • Participation waivers, medical consent, concussion acknowledgement, codes of conduct
  • Agree, acknowledge or answer-a-question forms
  • New wording creates a new version; old signatures stay attached to what was signed
  • A list of everyone who still owes a form

Payments

Card payments through your community organization's own Stripe account, and offline payments recorded by your treasurer with exactly the same result. There is one screen showing everybody who still owes money.

  • Cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay through Stripe
  • Cash, check and Venmo, with your own payment instructions
  • You choose whether families or the community organization cover processing fees
  • Refunds issued from the admin screens, with your refund policy shown at checkout

Teams and rosters

Form teams from the players who actually registered, then hand every coach what they need for the first practice.

  • Create teams per division with names and colours
  • Assign players and move them between teams
  • Jersey numbers and uniform sizes per player
  • Rosters and parent contact sheets that print on a page or export to Excel

Store

Sell uniforms, spirit wear and extras alongside registration. A family registering a child and buying a jersey checks out and pays once. LeagueRoots takes no fee on store sales.

  • Products with sizes or styles, each with its own price and stock count
  • Names and numbers to print, with an optional extra charge
  • Pickup or flat-rate shipping, with ready-to-collect and shipped emails
  • A pick list by product and size to send your supplier

Your community organization's website

Every community organization gets a public site in its own colours with its own logo, edited in the browser by whoever has ten minutes, without a web developer.

  • A visual page editor with ready-made layouts, sections and widgets
  • Drafts, scheduled publishing and full version history with one-click rollback
  • Menus, reusable announcement blocks and an image library
  • A contact form that emails your board, protected against spam
  • Your own domain, and redirects so links to your old site keep working

Addresses and school districts

Community organizations that draw from a school district need to know which district a family really lives in. LeagueRoots checks the address against county auditor records and tells you plainly whether a player is in or out.

  • County auditor lookups for Clermont, Brown and Hamilton counties in Ohio
  • The US Census geocoder for addresses everywhere else
  • "Did you mean" suggestions instead of rejecting a mistyped street
  • A district report for your board

Security and privacy

Each community organization sees only its own registrations, payments and pages. Card numbers never touch our servers: Stripe collects them directly.

  • Administrator and staff access, granted per community organization by invitation
  • Everything served over HTTPS
  • Card details handled entirely by Stripe
  • We never sell or advertise to your families

Straight answers

What LeagueRoots does not do

We would rather tell you before you sign up than after.

  • Game and field scheduling. We form teams; we do not build the fixture list.
  • Live scores and standings. Not built yet.
  • Background checks. Use a service that specializes in them.
  • Bank transfers (ACH). Cards online, and cash, check or Venmo recorded offline.

Ready for a calmer registration season?

Tell us about your community organization and we will set you up, walk your board through it and help you open registration. There is nothing to pay until families register.
